Urdhva Dhanurasana August 2010

John suggested that I can probably go a little further than I imagine... so I am trying to walk the hands in and stay with the breath.

  1. keep your heels down!!! keep them down now before you start dropping back on your own. standing up and dropping back is about grounding through the legs. much harder to do if you are on your toes.

Anonymous, I am aware of that and you are right, keeping the heels down is good... however, the last time I saw Richard Freeman he gave us permission to go up on the first one with the heels up... so I am pulling the "Richard Freeman" card... but you are right, I should drop it and will soon enough :-)

  3. You look so cute! Working on walking in is GOOD. I'm going to try to work a little harder tomorrow and walk my hands in closer than I've been. I've gotten a little lazy lately but it wouldn't kill me to make an extra effort once this week!?

  5. Lately I'm napping between poses. Seriously just 3rd & no extras took me 2 hours 20m today! But ya... I am apparently unwilling to go to Pure more than once this week if JC's not there so it's self practice for me!

    Are you there Monday? I think he's due back then.

  6. yes I think JC is coming back on Monday cause the advisor told us he was on vacation this week... I will sure be there next week not sure if starting Mon or Tue. When I am not there I practice at home...
