A Day in New York City - In Pictures

I realized last week that perhaps I take New York city for granted.  But I decided to help the situation at once. Camera in hand I photographed the day!

There is a LOT of art in the subway at Grand Central (42nd Street), especially if you have to take those passages that connect the red line with the blue line, or any of those lines with the yellow line.  This is a big mural that usually has musicians in front of it playing live.

Then on the tunnel as I walked towards my transfer I saw these little pictures on the wall, like this foreigner woman? Maybe I am projecting my own foreigner-ness

Is that a clown?

Even before Lady Gaga...

It took me a while, she is singing

This is the way we move apartments in New York, by subway.  Check his yoga mat, on the back, priceless.

The woman sitting next to me had a bag with a nice message, she was totally cool with me taking a picture of it, and even extended it so that the frame would be better.  New Yorkers are very aware of the camera lenses around.  We respect that framing is important! go her!

At Union Square there is this huge row after row of stickers with people who died in September 11. They are fading with the times, some are a little peeled off, but they are still there.

A Beautiful building on 53rd and Lex?  I wonder if you can go into those huge balls.

6 me, baby! one more time!

Crumbs is now officilly pretty much in every block.  As they should. Nobody can live in New York and not have access to a proper suggar fix.

These, below, were actually the "floor models". Mha, they have them for cupcakes, of course.

They still don't get it, it is "A-B-C-D", not "aCBd"... oh well, back to kindergarden for some people!

A sea of newspapers floded this entrance to the subway near Columbus Circle

So glad that the spring is coming back and we can get our heads out the coat and look around!

  1. Fun! I so took NYC for granted all the years I lived & worked there. Even now when I go, which I still do frequently, I don't stop to take photos. I will always love my Rarely and the Never (the wonderful yellow R & N trains). I enjoyed living vicariously through all your photos on here tonight. @MegP4
