Don't Be Lazy! - Sharath today. And a few pictures

I'll admit practice was hard for me today, I think that the short savasana yesterday left me in a state which I call "bouncing-off-the-walls", and I spent too much energy, so today I felt pretty drained and the backbends were pretty intense...  oh well, Wednesday.

Sharath talked to us again after the class. He mentioned that he hears many people say that ashtanga yoga is 'hard' but that he disagrees because anyone can practice: old, young, sick etc.  Then he told that story he had given us in Mysore about the 92 year old man that went to Guriuji and him at the old shala in Lakshimipur because he had been diagnosed with hernia and did not want to undergo an operation, so instead he took up yoga for 3 months, and felt a lot better.   We do not know what happened after the 3 months, but hey, the man was 92...

So anyone can take up yoga!, just not the lazy...

Here are some pictures of the space.  The classes are being held at the Metropolitan Pavillion, a very large and spacious room, very beautiful.

  3. Oh Frank, one good thing to know is that it is actually NOT the 123 address, it is the building right next door to the right and on the 5th floor...
