Yoga teacher, blogger, and event organizer
Martina visited for a few days last week and we had a rare opportunity to enjoy some asana and other limbs of yoga by the Hudson River: the
river that flows both ways.
Ah! It is good to connect with a fellow yogi. I found it helped me in focusing, getting up earlier, comparing notes on practice, meditation, teaching methodologies, and even food.
Here is a great recipe I learned from Martina. For breakfast, before practice, soak up oatmeal and prunes, separately. After practice they will be ready (no need to boil anything) and you can add cinnamon, nuts of your taste (like almonds or pine nuts), agave, and I even thought of adding nutella... delish!
Martina is also organizing a Kirtan (devotional singing) led by
James in the Michigan area (James is a long term student of Jayashree and was doing sessions in Mysore earlier in the year),
