Life throwed a wild card and here we are in San Francisco, I am mostly helping James with his talks and meetings and re-visiting the city I lived in 17 years ago. Gee! Time flyes...
The post is picture heavy so if you cannot see them go to ClaudiaYoga.com. Enjoy San Francisco's mini tour through my eyes:
Powell Street, so romantic
 |
| I am loving old busses on the rail tracks |
 |
South Of Market, most of it was not there
when I lived here
|
 |
| Nice |
 |
| Grafitti is VERY prominent, all over town |
 |
Holding the Cube with my Umbrella, that is how strong I am
these days |
 |
| Those chocolates were oh so good! |
 |
| Ooops! |
 |
| Trees dedicated to Amy Winehouse, sweet |
 |
| Height St |
 |
| Chocolate creppes, hmm |
 |
| On a trolley! going on slopes higher than 45 degrees sometimes! |
 |
It is very involved to drive these things, the conductor
uses all his strength! |
 |
Hanging OUTSIDE the bus, I wonder what Bloomberg (NYC
Mayor would say...) |
 |
| That was it, from the outside, so cute! |
 |
| Beautiful white buildings |
Aaaand, the yoga is totally coming back, here is where I've been practicing. I wonder when hotels will start having yoga rooms? So there it is, a tad cold, but nevertheless a nice space, I just move those chairs and go at it!
lovely! you look well ;-) ivana
ReplyDeleteI love the pics! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI did leave my heart in SF. I left it at the millennium restaurant in the Savoy hotel. I am not a committed vegan, but that was the best meal I had in that foodie town. I don't know if it is still there, but wow best vegan meal, scratch that- best meal period!
ReplyDeleteNice pics, you guys are really cute ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice pictures and great to see you out and about. SF, was there when i was a kid for a while (family), don't remember much but would love to visit again.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pics, you look well and glad that your health is returning big time!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Claudia. I'm happy that you are well enough to travel again (maybe you come to Minnesota soon? :-))
ReplyDeletethank you Ivana!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it Suzanne
S/F we heard about the Millenium, it was recently recommended, small world. I have been hearing that song in my head by the way...
Thanks Anon
Grimmly, San Francisco too? wow, you've been every-where!
Min, yes, I am doing good, very happy about it
Nobel, Minessotta is in the cards just not quite yet! ;-) Would love to visit!
dig the mantra "let's make it interesting." we moved from nyc metro area to the bay area. was just in san fran today getting a haircut. moved to bay area for kids and weather, but miss nyc and particularly the union square yoga culture.
ReplyDeletelove the fact that you're blogging about yoga and healing. in one way or another, it seems to me that most people are on a healing journey in one way or another while they're trying to build and grow across life.
You look amazing!! I'm so glad you are feeling better! You must feel so blessed to be up and around after all you have been through. And also to have James - he seems to be so supportive and caring. You are very fortunate to have someone like that in your life.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what treatment do you think helped you the most (the Chinese Medicine Doctor)?
I remember having to be on antibiotics for a year before my fever broke and I felt better. Unfortunately, I still have problems with my nervous system and other issues (from the Lyme and all the damage from the antibiotics). I was wondering if there are any good yoga poses to do to help the nervous system.
Anon, nice move! Loved San Francisco but it was a bit rainy when we were there... I agree with you totally we are all looking for healing and inspiration, or to fill a hole, or yes, healing puts it nicely!
ReplyDeleteAutum thanks! I do feel blessed, very much so, and express gratitude every day.
As per the chinese doctor, it was the whole experience, from the moment he saw me he said "you have nothing", that was reassuring, then he said it was just a question of re-balancing my organs, which made TOTAL sense, I mean, I though dahh!!! I am an aspiring yogi, how come I did not think about that?!
Then everything he did heleped, accupuncuture, something he does with a hot stick that smells like sage, the herbs, patience, eating right and very nutritious meals as he suggested, dropping coffee.
I feel for you having to be on antibiotics for a year! oh dear!
Is there any yoga for the nervous system? that is a very good question, I would say in your specific case I would consult a Chinese Doctor first to make sure everything is in balance, it feels like magic what this one did to me.
If you are near NY let me know, I also know of one in San Francisco now... then any yoga will help with the nervous system.
Claudia, Thank you so much for your response!!
ReplyDeleteI do get acupuncture now, and it has helped tremendously. I also watch my diet, stopped eating sugar and drinking coffee (which was so difficult). I meditate and recently (after reading your blog) have been starting to do some yoga poses, as my body will tolerate. But I still am not back to normal.
After reading about your experience, I think the only thing I am missing is the Chinese Doctor to rebalance my body. But unfortunately, I don't live in NY or SF. I am sure something will work out.
Thanks again! And I am so happy for you that you got better!!
I really hope a Chinese Doctor appears for you! Keeping you in the light!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Claudia - you have no idea what that means to me.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best in your recovery.
