My back has been hurting quite a bit lately, specifically on the lower portion. My intuition tells me that this is related to the intense drop back routine I do every day, and also to the fact that my life has changed completely and fundamentally within the past 6 weeks, as I have moved in with my boyfriend.
Three days ago I was talking to one of the women in the bathroom as we dried our hair together and I mentioned the pain. She asked me whether it could be a "message"
I immediatelly knew she was right, but I had not want to stop the drop backs for fear of being lazy, so I decided to run it by the teacher... after all he is the authority in my asana world.
John said that if I was getting this feeling I should follow it, and stop the drop backs, however, I should instead do more urdhva dhanurasana (http://bit.ly/udepm), perhaps try it five times instead of the usual 3.
Some part of my ego did not like this, I guess a small part did think it was getting away with someething... On top of that, speaking with a friend who is at my same level within the primary series, he mentioned that he has been counting to 30 each time.
Hmmm.... so, the messages are out loud and clear, continue to do it without dropping back, only do it five times instead of 3 and count to 30 each time, instead of the embarassing 3 to 4 counts I do...
Let's see what happens
