This and that...

Yesterday following Boodiba's and Grimmly's suggestions I attempted to extend my arms on the drop back, and hang in there... did not go too well... my reflex to come back up is INTENSE.  I had a video of it, but don't want anyone to see it !

I tried that sweetener from the post yesterday and did not like it all,  oh dear!, I am thinking it is a good challenge to change habits, but it is seriously not tasty, it feels a little like one of those artificial things.

This (left) is hanumanasana yesterday, playing during private practice, which felt good.  Still cannot manage to get the hands off the floor, it still hurts.

And on the raw front, I am not the kind of person to say: "O-h   m-y   G-o-d  where has raw chocolate pudding been all my life?", but I guess I just did.
There is nothing like it... you have to try it, it does not disappoint.

  1. Oh well if it doesn't work for you, no biggie. You wouldn't want to come visit Venki though! :) There were four women who showed up yesterday. Gokulam girls. Wonder if they are cheating on the waiver! Anyway, their collective reaction to the standing arches was very amusing. V was kept later than usual because they had all sorts of questions.

I stay quite calm in that formation, but holding that Kapo B is another story. It doesn't hurt or anything, but my heart and breath rate just speed up. I can't control it that well and that's what nips my hold times. And it's worse when he's standing there watching! Too funny. He makes me nervous. It's performance anxiety.

Oh GOD I have to put my pants on for morning practice in like 5m.. erg. Sigh.

    Nice hanuman btw!

  3. He's helped me a lot. It's a little hard on me right now cause I'm practicing four things a day. Morning practice is an exercise in not looking bored right now, cause he's teaching me sooooo slowly. Then there's the meditation which is incredible hard. I've been doing Astanga between that & the afternoon back bending, as injured as my right knee is!

I got such a small amount of sleep last night am not sure I'll be doing any late morning 2nd series. I might just lay on my back and go, "Errrrrr...."

  4. I agree about that sweetener, btw. I had high hopes myself. But it tastes like metal. Yuck.

yes Liz2, what a disappointment!! and it was quite expensive too... like 13 dollars for 100 envelopes... oh well, learning learning.
