Interesting things I saw on the ride from Mysore to Bangalore

As the driver pulled away and the voyage to Bangalore got on the way I was already half asleep, as any ashtangi would be by 9:00 PM. but HB kept text-ing me to stay away, at least until the plane, therefore I got some sightseeing.  Aside from the eternal back road and infinite chai shops, these things called my attention:

A sign for the ashram of Nityananada, a Sanyasy whom I first heard of in 2004.  Apparently he attained samadhi or eternal realization very early and set out to teach.  He is, mind you, from Southern India, and seeing his picture made me think of how everything is interconnected.  I started humming the song I learned when I first met his followers, which is just the word Nityananada, which, by the way, means: eternal bliss.

Picture comes from this blog.

A sign entering Bangalore that said "Garden City".  Really?  Then again, searching Google images I found some pretty gardens in Bangalore, who knew?

3.- A Sign directing to Osho's center a few blocks down some road.  Perhaps there are many Osho centers, there was one on this road.

4.- A Citibank!

5.- A KFC and a McDonnalds in an amazing, huge shopping mall.

6.- A Sign along the road for a place to eat that read: "Resturent"

7.- Christmas lights around pretty much one out every five shops along the road. Lights are big these days! and pretty I should add.
