The Facebook Jois Yoga page has been sharing some notes on the conferences. Gratitude. Here are three highlights including what does the "all" in "do your practice "all" is coming" means, according to Sharath-ji. The excerpts here come from that Facebook page:
- Pratyāhāra - the limb deemed sense withdraw - was briefly described by Sharath this morning after practice. When everything you see is seen as divine, everything you hear, heard as divine, everything touched felt as divine, etc, then you have reached pratyāhāra.
- Practice, all is coming." One of Guruji's most famous quotes was spoken of by Sharath this morning. As commentary to what all is coming Sharath cited Yoga Sūtra 2.28 saying that by practicing all 8 limbs the impurities are removed, then after the jñāna (spiritual knowledge) can shine within us. He also mentioned that we also get a healthier, longer life & peace of mind - things everyone needs & wants.
- Yoga is a tool for removing the six enemies (ṣaḍ-ari-varga): kāma (lust), krodha (anger), mada (pride/conceit), moha (delusion), lobha (greed) & mātsarya (jealousy). These are the poisons which cover the ātman and prevent the soul from shining forth
