This is not Lyme -goes my journal way back on day #20- It might look like it. It's what the doctors say. But that is just the external representation.
What I know deep inside is that the 'time away' has reconnected me with my dreams, the internal landscapes of my psychic, the voices that STILL have a hold on me and come from childhood, the love from clean beds, new depths, yoga therapy, where did THAT come from?
So, by around day #20 I had also:
1- Realized I don't HAVE to reply to e-mails right away, the world will not go away, people won't die because of it. It might even make for more thoughtful responses. This freed up quite a bit of time, so I...
2.- Became 'Editor in Chief' for James' latest book. I did not know I could do that! It wasn't in my resume (even sick).
And He was so grateful for every note I wrote, paragraph after paragraph, as I added things, came up with the tittle, gave suggestions, asked him to re-write some parts...
...and ended up in the dedication. Nice.
3.- Received gifts from my God-children they sent me drawings and little notes. One said: "You are the best God-Mother Clau in the history of God-Mother Clau". That one is on the refrigerator. Does not get any better than that!
4.- Clarified boundaries. I find family to be the hardest work when it comes to this topic. I took my time, put the issues on the light and spoke my mind. I have began to realize that "related by blood" is a term we use to force a lot of things that are not necessary true. When someone brings me down, especially when certain deep lines are crossed, a time out is very much in place, regardless of blood type.
5.- Spent time away from the sun yet was filled with light. The type of antibiotics I took were so strong that I had to stay away from the sun, but in that time I re-connected with the Divine Light Invocation and practiced it for 40 days.
I saw my body as a vessel of light, which has been depicted in so many forms, as Krishna's flute through which sacred sounds flow, as an instrument of thy peace in the St. Francis prayer. I saw my body as an instrument for the Divine, or at least prayed for it.
6.- My Book Reached #3 under "yoga" in Amazon. I Tweeted about it on that day, and got all giddy and happy and gay and every other funny word you can think of.
7.- Acquired 10 Shares of Apple. A few days before Steve passed into the light, and at the deep. May he be in the light, and may Apple prosper!
8.- Received a royalty check. Now that was a first -maybe a second- It was not for much ($35) but to me it made me feel rich. I am wealthy with sharing my passion.
9.- Gave James an idea for a post, and he stole it from me! (again). Quite a compliment considering how big his blog is. It was about when we find ourselves saying: I Want to Die. He got 155 comments for it. My idea. Hee hee, not that I am jealous or anything. Or maybe I am.

5 Steps to Interpreting Your Dreams

This post was a reminder of how to take the good from the bad; in ALL instances and situations in life. You have seriously redirected your energy towards the positive outcomes of your battle with Lyme; instead of only focusing on the pain, discomfort and obstacles. This is why you are so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to James on his I believe 6th book now ;) I was reading a bit of his blog yesterday and I can see why you two compliment each other so well! I'm definitely purchasing!
And congrats to you for making it to #3 on Amazing; Your book was definitely an amazing read and guide to my practice of Ashtanga.
Cheers to your Amazing light; and forever grateful that you share it with all of us.
Woops I meant to say Amazon, but I guess Amazing covers the whole of what I feel lol
ReplyDeleteThank you RV! :-) I appreciate the positive energy in your comment. And yeah, amazing, amazon... I do that too... ;-)
ReplyDeletekind of digging the idea of giving adults "time outs".
ReplyDeleteMe too Anon! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on realizing all the good in your life - and there's a LOT of it - amidst the bad. Am very impressed with the book!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've got a homeless population in America. And now we've got houses that are being foreclosed upon in epic numbers. Why can't these things work together?
ReplyDeleteMy idea: we fix up the the foreclosed homes and turn them into cheap homes to be rented out to the homeless - and anyone else who needs a place.
This is a rich country and there is plenty to go around.
Hi Penny, yeah, pretty scary... your idea would certainly bring jobs, only issue I would have with that is if it was government dominated cause they tend to mess things up... and corporations tend NOT to be very responsible as we have seen... but I like the idea!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, there is plenty in the country/world to go around for everyone!
