Ganesh is not the remover of obstacles, says David Garrigues in his Asana Kitchen: Pasasana, that is the hallmark version. Ganesh is actually the one that places obstacles, and we remove them.

An article that got 160,000 Facebook Likes! You what? I hear you say. Aha! Now, what kind of topic does it take to get there? Well, this one is called: "Why You Are Not Married" and it's pretty good.

I saw this picture in Facebook, it makes me laugh and I wanted to share with all of you bloggers out there! You may have to make your screen bigger, for which using Control (or Command in the Apple) and the plus key (+) helps... I used to be a computer trainer, can you tell?

ReplyDeleteHi Claudia(that's my mom's name btw:))! Thanks so much for your blog, I fully enjoy your views and all the awesome info. I hope you are feeling better and getting stronger:) I wanted to thank you for your Oil Bath post. I did it yesterday, after a truly magical and opening week of practice I was let's say really friggin sore! I took your instruction and WOW! I slept really hard and today I just feel so physically tired. I am interested to see how practice goes tomorrow(Sunday is my rest day). Thank you for sharing your life and your practice(same). I hold you in healing light. Be well Claudia
ReplyDeleteS/F :-)
ReplyDeleteJayaKrishna, great news! glad you enjoyed it, I would also be curious to hear how your next practice goes :-)
David's suggestion is intriguing as a thought exercise, but it's completely wrong wrt Gaṇeśa. There's nothing in the tradition of Gaṇeśa worship which would authorize such a view.
ReplyDeleteAnon I am no authority but symbolism works well for me, would be interesting to hear you expand on it on what Ganesha represents in your view.
ReplyDeleteOk Claudia, You asked for it:) Let's just say my practice was interesting. I had expected(1st mistake) for my body to be magically opened...so not the case. Here's the interesting part, I was keenly aware that my body was tired, a bit stiff, but a tad bit stronger, also I really paid close attention to my bhandas and breath, it's like the physical became a second thought, awesome! I would like to make a point that my practice time was unusual as I normally practice around 8:30am, today I had to do it at 6am, that 2 hours makes a big difference, I'll try some coffee next time:) Be well Claudia, thank you for the encouragement!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing JK! think I just emailed you :-)
