4th of July Practice

Greg will be teaching tomorrow at yogasutra from 8 to 11. What a blessing! first thought best thought. Then came the second thought: getting on the train all the way from West Orange to take the class.

For some reason lately I am feeling it. I wonder if it is the heat.

Then I thought about it some more, and the "symbolism" idea kicked in. It is, after all, "Independence day".

I wonder about the things I would like to be "independent" of. The pain in suptakurmasana, the illusion of security, the fear of not having money, the codependency to a job, the desire to be on third series, the new work project I was just assigned a few minutes ago.

Yes, I think I will practice for Independence.
